Below are real stories shared by members of our harp-loving community

Lorinda Jones

I heard the lever harp perform in concert at the Kentucky Music Weekend event in Louisville, Kentucky. I took a brief workshop the next day and immediately began searching for a small harp to play. This was about the time I was studying for my music therapy certification so my newfound instrument love found a direction right away. In addition to utilizing the harp in my music therapy work, I have created a space for others in the community to play and learn together and create opportunities to share the music in concert settings. I have also played with various music ensembles over the years and currently perform with an all-female Irish trio, incorporating Irish harp style.
